This thermometer reads the current surface temperature of an object in less than a second. It is a safe and convenient way of measuring temperatures of hot, hazardous or hard-to-reach objects without contact.

How it works?

Any object at a temperature above absolute zero radiates infrared energy. This energy is transmitted at the speed of light. The Infrared Thermometer lens collects and focuses the infrared energy to the sensor. The sensor in turn produces a low voltage output which is proportional to the temperature of the target object. This output voltage is displayed as a temperature value. 

Quick Start Instructions:

1. Open the battery compartment to install battery. Press the trigger, the LCD display will show reading and battery icon. Release the trigger and the reading on the display will hold for 15 seconds

2. Locating a hot spot: To find a hot spot, aim the thermometer outside the area of interest, then scan across with up and down motions until you locate the hot spot. Please turn on the laser for accurate reading. Press ▲, you can turn on or off the laser positioning

3. Note: Hold the trigger time for about 1 second 　　

Cautions:

The infrared thermometer should be protected from:

• EMF (electro-magnetic fields) such as from arc welding and induction heaters
• Thermal shock caused by large or abrupt ambient temperature changes . Allows 30 minutes for device to stabilise before use
• Do not leave the device on or near objects of high temperatures
