"ASICS" is a brand founded in Kobe in hopes of Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka "Healthy fostering young people through sports" in 1949.
Its name is derived from the initials of Roman satirist Ubenarius, "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano" in the beginning of the 2nd century AD.
The company established sports engineering research institute in Japan, continues to make functional high quality products that are worldwide, and has earned the trust of many people both domestically and abroad.
