Not your regular puffy jacket.
At first glance, the Scott Boys'' Junior Down Jacket looks like a puffy jacket styled for cold days around town, but it''s much better suited for ski days. Scott styled it with the same DryoSphere construction that most of Scott''s ski shells have, and it keeps him comfortably dry during snowy days at the resort. The Junior even features underarm ventilation just like any good ski jacket.
Although Scott calls it a down jacket, the Junior is actually insulated with with 3M Thinsulate Featherless synthetic insulation is synthetic, which mimics the light and lofty feel of down. Since it''s synthetic, Featherless insulation retains insulating even if it happens to get wet, which would be a challenge since Scott outfitted the jacket with a powder skirt and various adjustments at the hood, hem, and cuffs to seal out the snow.
