Rumput mutiara punya nama latin Hedyotis corymbosa L. Lamk. Nama lainnya adalah bunga telor, rumput siku-siku, katepan, urek-urek polo dan pengka. Tanaman ini bersifat menghilangkan panas dan toksik (racun), antiradang, diuretik (peluruh air seni), menyembuhkan bisul dan mengaktifkan sirkulasi darah.

Rumput mutiara mengandung hentriakontane, stikmasterol, ursolic acid, sitosterol, D-glukosida, p- coun maric acid, flovonoid glycossides dan asam oleat. Anggota familli Rubiaceae ini bersifat manis, sedikit pahit, lembut netral dn agak dingin. Faedahnya untuk menghilangkan panas dan toksik anti radang, diuretik, menyembuhkan bisul dan mengaktifkan sirkulasi darah.

The pearl grass has the Latin name Hedyotis corymbosa L. Lamk. Other names are flower egg, elbow grass, katepan, urek-urek polo and pengka. This plant is heat and toxic (toxic), anti-inflammatory, diuretic (urine discharge), heal ulcers and activate blood circulation.

The pearl grass contains hentriacontane, stikmasterol, ursolic acid, sitosterol, D-glucoside, p-coun maric acid, flovonoid glycossides and oleic acid.
