Gardens by the Bay (Flower Dome & Cloud Forest)

 Introduction:
 Gardens by the Bay is one of Singapore’s newest and most popular tourist attraction. It consists of 3 waterfront gardens at Marina Bay: Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central. Bay South newly opened its doors to the public. It consists of 2 waterfront conservatories: the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest.
The Flower Dome is the larger of the 2 conservatories in Gardens by the Bay. It simulates a cool-dry Mediterranean climate usually found in temperate regions like Europe, South Africa and California. Catch the brilliant changing flower display in the Flower Field that represents different seasons and festivals. Flower Dome showcases plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid subtropical regions, complemented by changing displays in the Flower Field to reflect different seasons and festivals. It is an indoor event space kept at a temperature of 23°C to 25°C, spanning 1,300 m² that can accommodate up to 1,000 people.
The Cloud Forest, a mysterious world veiled in mist, entirely different from the Flower Dome, features a tropical climate, displaying various breeds of exotic plants and an impressive waterfall. Discover how mountains are formed as you venture into the Crystal Mountain, a man-made mountain that stands 35 meters tall (115 feet) covered in lush vegetation shrouding the world’s tallest indoor waterfall showcases plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000-metres above sea level.. An elevator brings visitors to the mountaintop, and two walkways provide the means for getting to the bottom. Among the plants that can be found in the Cloud Forest are rare Wollemi Pines from Australia and carnivorous Pitcher Plants.
