It does have a lot of small pieces, so if you have little ones that like to put things in their mouths, you will definitely need to keep an eye out. There are no written instructions, only pictures, to indicate how the structure goes together. My 13 year old daughter put this together in fairly short time, but my grandson is almost 5 and there is no way he could have put this together without some help. The pins are simple; just 3 pieces, and the Zombie and the Walnut are basically pre-assembled. I have to admit, when I first saw all the pieces, I was happy to let my daughter have at it! I think I will try out some of the other pieces so my grandson can mix and match the play sets. Overall, I think this is a fun toy and now that I know what to expect as far as assembly, I will be prepared by having it put together before it’s time to play. This kit comes in small packaging with little parts. The game takes about 10 minutes to build and could be done by a child greater than 6-7 years of age. The kit does have really small parts that would have to be kept up on a table or area away from small children. This Plants Vs. Zombies is sold as a game and could be played with your own personal customized rules. The idea is to place the ramp in front of the plants and zombies and bowl them over with a large walnut to obtain the most hits. This game can be brought along to have as entertainment when bringing children to appointments, friends and family visits, or just a fun little game to play at home on a flat surface. The kit is easy to set up and small enough for a quick clean up. My twin boys gave this game an 8 out of 10 on the fun scale.
