I have many features

There are many additional software functions, but there is no user-friendly software. For now I've included only security-related issues.

Intuitive and easy to use

I built the NAS for the first time, but there are no complicated settings, so it is now possible to use it with just a few simple settings. I bought it for backing up my child's photo, it's perfect because I can upload automatically and specify each folder of my family. Since the application of synology is substantial, I would like to explore other uses.

Good design

I am using it in parallel with the run of iMac, but the appearance is beautiful between white colors. Usability is now studying, but for now I am using it to listen to music. I thought it would be better if there were more stations in the net radio.

Even a beginner can easily do it for the time being!

★ Choice reason ★ I bought it because it is a three crown of selling, attention, satisfaction at the NAS department of price .com. Even if you stumble on the setup side, since advice gentle to beginners is uploaded to the net so much, it is safe so I wanted to make it a perfect backup system with lol and that with mirroring, so if two HDDs are put on it, distributed backup to multiple USB HDD I do not need you. ★ Setup ★ Although it is a completely amateur, the assembly ends with only a Phillips screwdriver and the setup was able to do it just by operating according to the navigation. I put it in the living room, but there is no operation sound. ★ Remote access ★ Because it is a replacement from Buffalo's LinkStation, it will be compared with it, but viewing photos from iPhone 6 DS dedicated application is fairly fast. Almost no stress even in the 4G environment. Conversion for the application seems to be done automatically, it took several days to copy a large amount of photos and convert it for the application ... Although I saved the photo in the Photo folder, for a while DS Photo album If you do not upload pictures to you, you probably will be settled if you wait. ★ COSPER ★ HDD is a general purpose product is a considerable merit in the COSPA side. For domestic manufacturers NAS that RAID can be assembled, the replacement HDD becomes expensive with exclusive items, and the capacity also becomes exclusive. If it is DS 216j, it is also cheap and easy to replace at the time of failure and to increase capacity in the future. ★ Dedicated OS ★ The system that operates a dedicated OS from a Web browser is somewhat troublesome. I was bothered by the phenomenon that when I try to copy each folder, I get an error. I fixed it in the manual of the official page for the time being, but it might be a bit intuitive. Even if it is a disadvantage, there are too many COSPA's, which is a merit so far so it's correct.
