Description:
It can be chewed as a mouth freshener.
Grows best in well- drained soils in deep valleys with full sun.
Growing to 1m in height, with pinnate leaves about 7-15m\/ 3-6in long, with 9-17 leaflets.
The flower are 0.8- 1.2m(1\/3 to 1\/2in) long, purple to pale whitish blue, produced in losse inflorescence.
The fruit is an oblong pod, 2-3cm (1in) long, containing several seeds.
The roots are stoloniferous.
Has a sweet taste, 30- 50 times sweetness of sugar, but it is different from sugar, being less instant, tart and lasting longer.
