Mylar food storage bags are an integral component of any good food storage system and have been used for many years. Food grade metalized mylar bags are used for lining food storage pails. Mylar bags create an oxygen barrier to protect food during extended long-term food storage. Mylar bags for food storage can be sealed with a standard heat sealing unit or with a regular clothes iron.
