I'm Choi YoonSeok, the inventor of DOVAL Chainring. I have researched the mechanics sport for about 15 years. My main consumers were Hyundai Motors Co.(Rehabilitation for an industrial disaster victim) and Samsung STC(Samsung Training Center) Co.
Oval Chainring?
	Eventually there created cases proving the fact that a crank's circular movement was simple, but the human's circular movement is not as simple as the crank's. Although the US7,749,117 is the most successful oval chainring product commercially, the OCP system shows the limits of symmetric oval chainring. The system needs more output sections.
	As asymmetric oval chainring, the US5,549,314's action to expand the output section was right. But the start point of idea was from the bicycle, but from a human. It needs to be more humane.
Individually if I evaluates the value of DOVAL, it is an instrument using the all muscles below the navel.DOVAL expands the musculus glutaeus medius, the musculus rectus femoris, and the musculus iliopsoas, and shortens the musculus biceps femoris-short head. And it lifts the musculus glutaeus up to the agonist muscle, and lift thequadriceps and the popliteal down to the congener muscle. The results caused from the above changes not only expands the output but also makes the stable resistance to accept all ankling like the follows. If you used the Doval in a same speed, you can run father, more comfortably, but we found many cases that most users over use more output because of soft ankling. If you understand such feature of energy consumption, you will be easy in preventing from the over training.Meanwhile, I think the phenomenon can't simply be considered negatively. I believe that the Doval Chainring is an instrument fully enabling faster speed, acceleration and climbing functions, and the most ideal instrument in training(climax training),losing weight, and rehabilitating.
