The Impact Pre-Trigger Cable for Nikon DSLR with DC2 Connection connects to the camera's remote cable socket and keeps your camera awake, as if your finger was depressing the shutter release halfway, so that the PowerSync Radio Slave can trigger it immediately to catch the action. There is an on/off switch on the cable so that it can be used as a simple trigger for the camera without waking and pre-focusing it.
