However, this ingredient found in commercial moisturisers is often used in extremely small proportions therefore diluting the effects.

I have a skin condition called ichthyosis vulgaris; symptoms are dry, flaky and itchy skin. I've tried many types of moisturisers and none worked ideal for me. After an opportunity to try out Chitosan in its rawest form, I find that my skin is a lot smoother!

NOTE: Do not use if you are allergy to crustaceans as Chitosan is an ingredient extracted from the outer shell of crustaceans.
