please make sure the lamp is placed exactly as the old lamp,if it is not aligned the image coluld be dim or the lamp might not turn on
while re installing the lamp please make sure the tv is unplugged, and open the lamp door, unscrew or unhook the lamp, and then slide it out, and then firmly push the lamp housing back in, also make sure TV lamp back cover is properly closed.
