It has the ability to play DVD discs as well as files from USB and SD/SDHC memory cards, adding dedicated features for professional use such as RS-232C control, On Screen Display (OSD) Hiding mode, Panel and infrared remote lock and Power-On-Play function.
The PMD-500D also features XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs for audio plus HDMI, digital video, component video and composite video outputs - all in one rack space.
To make setup even easier, the player saves operational settings after a power recycle, and front panel/IR remote lock functions enable automatic operation.
