Mild medicated scent. When applied to the area there's a tingely feeling, refreshing. A moment after that, the itching stops. Nice!!! And I have tried many different creams, ointments, and lotions. It was well worthwhile to have it delivered but I've since found that this is carried in my local Walmart. You must be careful not to get this in your eyes or any tender part of your body because the menthol will really be uncomfortable for a few minutes. We keep a bottle of Sarna in the living room and bedrooms and use often.
