Sambal Ikan Bilis Paste goes remarkably well with anchovies. In Singapore, it is typically served as a sauce alongside Nasi Lemak. This Little Nyonya paste can also be used as a hot sauce for the barbecue as it has a sweet and flavourful taste that goes well with cooked meat or vegetables.

You Will Need

1 pack of Sambal Ikan Bilis Paste (250g)

300g anchovies (Ikan Bilis)

• Fry 300g of anchovies over the stove or in your air fryer until crispy, and set aside.
• Heat the Sambal Ikan Bilis Paste and add to the fried anchovies. If using as a sauce for meat, heat the paste, add it to cooked meat, and serve.

Storage Tips

Store any unused portions in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.

Can be kept in the freezer for up to a month.
