| Directions | Use one (1) bar of soap to thoroughly wash any areas that may have come into contact with poison ivy oak or sumac. Use hot water and rub soap bar directly on skin for maximum exfoliation effect; do not lather in hands. Wash affected area for at least 30 seconds. Thoroughly rinse off all soap and do not allow unexposed areas to be contaminated while rinsing. One soap bar will be sufficient for a total body wash. Discard bar after single use. If a second application is needed use a new bar. Do not allow anyone to come in contact with used bar dispose of immediately. Severe cases may take repeated washings. |
| Uses | The rash and blisters associated with poison ivy poison oak and poison sumac are all caused by a chemical called urushiol. It binds with the skin and causes the itch and irritation associated with poison ivy. The symptoms will persist until the urushiol is completely removed from the skin. IVY-DRY Soap is a special blend of surfactants and detergents that bind with and quickly release the Urushiol from the skin. The urushiol can then be rinsed away and the irritation will subside. Micro-beads help exfoliate the skin and allow the surfactants and detergents to bind with and rinse away the urushiol. IVY-DRY Soap can be used anytime you have been exposed to poison ivy and in many cases it will help prevent the urushiol from getting into your skin and causing the rash. Use IVY-DRY Soap anytime you notice an irritation caused by poison ivy; it will help reduce the rash and the itching. For maximum effect it should be combined with IVY-DRY Super (a drying agent) to speed the healing of the affected area. IVY-DRY Soap contains natural colloidal oatmeal soothing Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to help speed healing. |
