It has never irritated me and if I put it on before bedtime (as instructed) it lasts for 2 days even if I've showered or gone swimming (although not if I shave my underarm hair). I recently tried using a Secret brand non-clinical deodorant and it does not last throughout the day in the hot & humid weather here in Miami, so even though I don't have excessive body odor or sweating - this and the other smooth solid clinical deodorants by Secret are a must for hot FL weather and much much better than any other product I've tried.
