1) Q: How do I keep my scrub sponge fresh?

A: To clean and sanitize your sponge or scrub sponge, either boil in water for 5-10 minutes or put in the top rack of your dishwasher using a heated cycle. 3M does not recommend microwaving your sponge or scrub sponge as this could be a potential fire hazard.

2) Q: What’s the best way to sanitize scrub sponges?

A: Just like a wash cloth or a drying towel, a scrub sponge needs to be sanitized regularly. The best way to sanitize your scrub sponge is to toss it in the top rack of your dishwasher after using it. If you don’t have a dishwasher, you can boil your scrub sponge for 5-10 minutes. We do not recommend microwaving.
