Product Description

Cherokee-Creek painter Virginia Stroud believes art is a way to preserve her culture. This baby blankets recognizes and celebrates a significant Plains Indian tradition: parents place a newborn child's navel cord inside a lizard shaped amulet. The amulet embodies the lizard's quick movements and guards the spirit of the child to ensure a long, protected life.
