Feature
Poria grows where pine trees around the country are cut. It grows like a lump in a pine tree roots after many years of harvesting,
and are found around pine tree stubs by poking with skewer. With a lump of about 30 to 50 cm in diameter,
the outer surface is rough like a pine bark, and the inside is white or pink. When the inner surface is white,
it is called white poria and when the inner is pink it is called pink poria.
White Poria is parasitic in the roots of pine trees and red Poria is parasitic in roots of black pine trees.
Efficacy of Poria
It has been used as a tonic for a long time. It is good for protecting the spleen, removing sputum and stabilizing
the mind by acting on menopause, nonspecific, heart, nerve and cyst. Pharmacological studies have shown that diuretics,
lowering blood sugar levels, and sedation.
