This 18 inch Freshwater Cultured Pearl necklace features white, round pearls that are individually hand-knotted on silk and secured with a solid, 14 karat gold clasp. The Importance of Luster and Size

Luster is defined as the quality and the quantity of light reflected from the surface or from just below the surface of a pearl. The sharper the reflection, the higher the luster. It is the most important value factor when selecting pearls - the finer the luster, the more beautiful the pearl.

The size of the pearls used in these strands is an important factor. Instead of using full millimeter size increments (such as 6-7 mm or 7-8 mm) these strands have all been made strictly from the larger half of the millimeter range (such as 6.5-7 mm and 7.5-8 mm), which significantly increases value.
