Jarrow FORMULAS Resveratrol 100 contains 100 mg of resveratrols (3;4';5-trihydroxystilbenes) and resveratrol glucosides (piceids) extracted from Hu zhang ("tiger cane") root. Polygonum extracts have a history of usage in traditional eastern medicine as cardiotonics. Jarrow FORMULAS Resveratrol 100 provides approximately 90% resveratrol in the trans configuration. As an antioxidant; resveratrol protects cardiovascular function by inhibiting LDL oxidation; upregulating nitric oxide synthesis; and the integrity of capillaries.* Resveratrol has also been studied for its ability to activate Phase 2 detoxification enzymes to maintain healthy cell replication and to modulate genes known to enhance life span.* Keep out of the reach of children.
