My box only contained one small patch. Second, the patches do not stick well at all. I had to anchor it down with tape in a "window-pane" pattern to hold it in place. Even with taping it down, the patch itself worked poorly. I felt a little cooling from the menthol, but it never got warm...or "icy-hot" as one might expect. Since the website description also advertised this as "advanced relief" (meaning it contained a stronger amount of menthol), I expected it might work better than the "regular" relief. I was SORELY disappointed...pun intended. Would not buy again OR recommend to anyone...friend or foe. My lower back is the L-3, L-4 and T-ll according to my Cat-scan. The pain has been so bad that I have been actually stuck in bed, unable to move to the right or left side and had to remain there for 10 hrs. all the time squirming around like a fish trying to place one foot on the floor. This is why I am in physical theraphy now. Another thing I like about these patches they are easy to put on and take off and the STICK to the skin. Most other patches don't ADHERE to the skin properly and end up falling off. I also use these patches for my arthritic knee.
