It is not a solid color since it is black and white plaid close-up. There is a bright purple that outlines the white flowers of the design on the comforter - the same purple as on the sheets. Washed the comforter this morning, as per instructions on the tag. I took it out of the dryer and found the stitching on one end had all ripped out, stuffing was hanging out--what a mess. It is going back to the store.
