Fisher's Choice canned baits go through a retortion, or sterilization process that technically 'cooks' the bait without cooking it; this results in a texture that remains soft but slightly more firm than live bait. This allows for enhanced durability when fishing, more casts, and, in the case of crickets, more whole crickets and less broken off cricket legs. The unique packaging process of Fisher's Choice locks in natural juices, keeping the baits soft and moist, just like live bait. However, unlike live bait, they've also been enhanced with an all-natural scent attractant.
