The Innovative Percussion GTX Series Timpani Mallets are put together with the same materials and methods used in high-end professional implements, but with enough weight and strength to handle the volume requirements of marching ensembles.

The GTX-5 Ultra Staccato models are covered with a thin layer of red synthetic felt, producing an aggressive and biting sound on the drums that you'll want for music that demands extreme articulation and note clarity.

The felt covering the wooden cores of these mallets has been applied parachute-style, leaving no stitching on the edge. This design gives the mallets the same sound quality all the way around the head, and players don't have to constantly check themselves.

Straight maple handles put a lot of weight up at the front end of the mallets, helping boost volume and projection.
