This mat is very versatile encouraging us to play lots of different games. I have a 3 year old preschooler who can read and calculate between 1-9. My child who is not a genius was taught by playing with the 36 letters and numbers provided in the Foam Puzzle Play Mat. Additionally, he loves to use his imagination to create "new Things". So far the tiles were made into building blocks, a long path, and more.
