Make the World''s Best Oatmeal® At Home Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Steel Cut Oats, reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes (longer for creamier oatmeal). Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes. Servings - Oats - Water - Salt 1- ¼ cup - ¾ cup - pinch 2 - ½ cup - 1½ cups - pinch 3 - ¾ cup - 2¼ cups - ¼ tsp 4 - 1 cup - 3 cups - ¼ tsp Steel Cut Oats in the Slow Cooker Combine 4 cups water, 1 cup oats and ½ tsp salt in a 4-6 quart slow cooker. Cover with lid and cook on low for 7-8 hours or overnight. Makes 4 servings.Free OfGluten.
