Asics FuzeX™ Rush Review

Last spring Asics debuted its Fuzex collection of road shoes. The collection featured Asics new FuzeGel cushioning system a blending of the long-favored GEL technology and EVA.

The initial line consisted of the FuzeX and FuzeX Lyte. Further expanding this collection Asics has a third shoe which is lighter and more performance oriented, enter the FuzeX Rush.

Asics FuzeX™ Rush General Info

The FuzeX Rush appears to replace the 33 FA which has been discontinued along with the rest of the 33 series.

This seamless upper lightweight shoes design look to compete with established other bestsellers like the Skechers GoRun or New Balance Vazee Pace.

Unboxing the FuzeX Rush for the first time, I was happy to see the simple design free of needless overlays and constructed with a durable soft mesh.

Trying them on for the first time I immediately noticed the narrow fit particularly in the forefoot. The cushioning felt light and responsive but this changed after running in the shoe.

History of ASICS

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan.
He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body."

Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness.

Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.
