Dad and I at the Singapore Food Expo.

Goatsmilk.com.sg by Sunnanz aims to provide 100% pure natural goats milk of international standards that is both economical and convenient.

My dad Mr Sunny Hay is the pioneer dairy goat farmer in Singapore, in 1988 he established the only dairy goat farm in Singapore up till today. He gained his experience in dairy farming in the USA and dairy technologies at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in NZ.

Even though goats milk was not well received in Singapore at first, he persisted worked hard bringing up the business alone for 3 years before seeing some breakthrough. He retired in 2001 after many years of hard work and perserverance.

He was featured on TV and in The Straits Times, The Newpaper, local Chinese papers 联合早报 and 新明日报 countless of times.

Have a goat day!

Why goats milk and why UHT?
1. More affordable than pastuerised fresh goats milk.
2. Convenient to store due to the long shelf life.
3. Nutritional quality and flavour is retained without preservatives.

Goats' milk is the most widely drunk milk in the world although in the UK and Singapore, cows' milk is the most popular choice. However, more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits that goats' milk can bring. It has been known to help alleviate conditions associated with digestive disorders, skin conditions like eczema, respiratory problems, asthma and excess mucous. Goats' milk is also suitable for those that are lactose intolerant or allergic to cows' milk. Others simply prefer the taste of goats' milk.

Delamere Dairy's UHT whole goats' milks are the only long-life goats' milks available in the UK and Singapore. Sold in 1 litre cartons, you can find them in most supermarkets. Just like the fresh goats' milk, you can use it in exactly the same way you would use cows' milk, in tea and coffee, splashed on cereal and in your favourite recipes.

UHT milk does not require refrigeration unless opened because the treated milk is stored in an aseptic package whereby no outside bacteria or contaminants can come into contact with the milk after it has gone through the UHT process. This allows the milk to be kept with a longer shelf life and in turn reduces costs making it more affordable. All the flavour and nutritional quality of fresh milk is retained.

What is UHT?

Ultra-high temperature processing, is the sterilization of food by heating it for an extremely short period, around 1–2 seconds, at a temperature exceeding 135°C (275°F), which is the temperature required to kill spores in milk. The most common UHT product is milk, but the process is also used for fruit juices, cream, soy milk, yogurt, wine, soups, honey, and stews. UHT milk was invented in the 1960s, and became generally available for consumption in the 1970s.

Why is goats' milk closest to human milk?

Researchers have found that goats' milk has many nutrients such as casein, taurine, neuclotides that makes it similar to human milk. Goats' milk contains less casein alpha S1 which is responsible for most allergies to cows' milk. Additionally another beneficial aspect of goats' milk is that it contains a significant amount of Oligosaccharides similar to that of human milk. This compound reaches the large intestine undigested and acts as a prebiotic that help develop probiotic flora (good bacteria) that competes with pathogenic bacteria flora (bad bacteria) making it disappear.

Can my infant child drink goats milk?

Infants require higher nutrition for the initial years for better development, we would recommend taking milk formula instead.
