Notes
- DVB-T/T2 or Analogue TV reception requires a TV aerial (a high gain rooftop aerial is recommended).
- DVB-T Radio is not DAB Radio.
- DVB-C is not currently supported with Windows Media Center.
- For Digital Terrestrial reception, some viewers may need to replace their aerials if the installation is old or in poor condition. Digital Terrestrial coverage is improving all the time as digital terrestrial television transmitters are continuously being updated. However it may take some time for full coverage to reach particular areas of the country./
- An Internet connection is required for the Windows Media Center EPG service.
- For Singapore residence, some DVB-T/T2 reception with indoor antenna might be impaired by walls and high neighboring buildings/structures/trees. In such environments, an outdoor / roof-top DVB-T antenna is recommended. If you are using roof-top antenna with amplified signal, in theory, you should not encounter any reception problem and you should be able to receive all free-to-air DVB-T/T2 channels available in Singapore.
- To use the WinTV-dualHD for TV with the Windows XP Media Center application (DVB-T/Analogue will require a patch from our website) a Media Center certified DVD or MPEG-2 software decoder is required. If you are building a Media Center PC, refer Microsoft's web site for a list of Media Center certified DVD decoders. The Windows Media Center application is included with Windows 8 Media Center package, Windows 7, Windows XP Media Center, Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Home Premium editions only.
- For optimal reception of DVB-T/T2 channels with any indoor antenna (DVB-T/T2 compatible), you have to be in a location with minimum disturbance on the DVB-T/T2 signal.

For Freeview HD (DVB-T2), Freeview (DVB-T) and DVB-C digital TV
Plug the WinTV-soloHD into a USB port on your Windows PC or laptop and you can watch, pause & record Freeview High Definition and Standard Definition TV. The WinTV-soloHD can receive Freeview HD (DVB-T2), Freeview SD (DVB-T) and "free-to-view" digital cable TV (DVB-C) on your Windows PC.
In addition to live over-the-air Freeview HD TV(DVB-T2), the WinTV-soloHD can also receive DVB-T. If you live in an area which does not broadcast the high definition DVB-T2 signal yet, you can watch the standard Freeview DVB-T and upgrade to DVB-T2 when it comes to your area.

The WinTV-soloHD comes with the WinTV v8 application for Windows. With WinTV v8, you can watch or record your favourite TV programs in your PC, in a window or full screen. TV recordings made with the WinTV-soloHD are recorded in the original digital format, without any loss in quality. Recordings can be scheduled with the built-in TV scheduler in WinTV v8.
