Firstly, these shoes are fantastic. They are very comfortable and you can just tell that they are made of high-quality materials and are going to last a while. The pattern on the bottom is very grippy, but not as grippy as a 5.10 Freestyle, which for me is good because I want to be able to reposition my foot if needed. Secondly, who came up with the color schemes for this shoe!? horrible. You have the Ultra Violet option, which is gray, black, white, and purple... I can't imagine the white is going to stay white for too long. Your second option is Lunar Rock, which is baby-blue, yellow, and three shades of grey. What the heck is this? It looks like a clown shoe. If the colors don't bother you, as they don't really bother me, then you will absolutely love this shoe. It's just hard to imagine that the color-schemes of this shoe are not detrimental to their sales.

These shoes lasted me 2 years of daily use. I commuted by bike about half the time and they provided plenty of grip for me on my flats. By far the most comfortable and durable pair of shoes I've owned.

Definitely would recommend for mtn biking. They are very good at not slipping off my pedals and very comfortable. I kind of want to get a second set for everyday use, that comfortable in my opnion.

Great platform pedal bike shoes. Excellent pedal-sole grip and enough stiffness for pedaling efficiency, with just a little flex in the toe when hike-a-bike is required. Fits just a touch narrower than I expected, but I don't notice after wearing for several rides. The rubber sole has held up pretty well so far. Note to Teva: please include some black laces with the black shoes.
