It can be annoying at times because it has a loud click every time the second hand moves. Not a big deal just a little annoying. Otherwise we enjoy the clock and my daughters learning time fast. The battery used was a rechargable style that was I little dificult to install. The hands ajustment is easily usable and the size of the numbers are big enough to view form different points in the room.
