The Orion Safety Film Solar Filter for 6" Reflector Telescopes is made with high-quality Baader Astro Solar Safety Film, which is made specifically for safe observation of the Sun through a telescope. Using this streak-free and blister-free film filter is an affordable and safe way to observe sunspots, solar eclipses and planetary transits of our Sun. When using the filter installed on a 6" aperture reflector telescope, you'll see the Sun in its real, neutral white color, without any orange or blue tinting caused by the filter material. This Orion Safety Film Solar Filter for 6" Reflector Telescopes has been designed to fit Orion StarBlast 6 Astro and IntelliScope Reflector telescopes; SkyQuest Classic XT6, IntelliScope XT6i Dobsonian reflectors; and the AstroView 6 Equatorial Reflector Telescope (all telescopes sold separately). CAUTION: Never look at the Sun, either directly or through a telescope, without a professionally made protective solar filter installed that completely covers the front of the instrument, or permanent eye damage could result.
