This one is easy to install, works perfectly, and costs about 1/3 the price of most of the others. Just be sure to position it a few inches away from sources of spurious interference, like power cords and speaker wires, or your output will be more hum than signal. Was this review helpful?Yes (22)No (0)ReportPre-Amp1/6/2011Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews1/6/2011by b33nyThis is a nice no fuss pre-amp. From my previous experience with phono equipment and turntables, I made sure that I grounded my turntable to the chassis of the pre-amp and extended a ground from the pre-amp to the chassis of my PC. In doing so, this kills all the chances for hum. So far this has been working out great. Simple to install and case is marked with "input - output" sides.I extended a "ground wire" from the turntable to the back if my receiver and that took care of the hum some people said that they were getting. A price of $20 was more than fair for this item. Shipping site to store is an extra plus. It's very easy to run in to Walmart at any time to pick up. No waiting all day for UPS to arrive. Was this review helpful?Yes (8)No (0)Reportworks8/29/2017Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews8/29/2017by seeweedWorks great. I my city of 230,000 there is not a single shop where you can buy an RCA connector, so it meant waiting for another internet order to arrive. Was this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportGreat Preamp1/19/2016Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews1/19/2016by apf1220This low cost preamp works great.
