This kit allows you to add a remote filter to increase the transmission oil filtration efficiency 2 to 5 times over the stock numbers. With contamination as the cause of many transmission failures, this extra filtration can be good insurance. The kit includes a permanent remote filter adapter that can be easily mounted on a fenderwell or firewall, mounting and line hardware, and a spin-on filter (Fram PH8A or equivalent).
