The Fostex TH-500RP Stereo Headphone combines proven RP (Regular Phase) technology with the design philosophy and flair of the TH-900, resulting in premium headphones that deliver a stunningly high-resolution sound, with sparkling highs, rich mid tones and high quality lows. The RP diaphragm consists of etched copper foil on the surface with high heat resistant polyimide film as the base material. This high specific gravity resin baffle plate creates a high resolution sound with a rich mid-range and solid low-end with a reduction in unwanted resonances. The TH-500RP features an aluminum and magnesium structure for a lightweight, high quality construction. A unique punched metal is used for the housing, paying homage to the original RP headphone design. The high quality soft leather ear pad ensures a comfortable listening experience, even in prolonged use. A gold-plated 1/4 -inch plug is used on the HiFC connection cable, providing sonic purity and excellent conductivity. The TH-500RP ships with a leather-texture carrying pouch for protection during transportation.
