Girls definitely like it because it's probably the closes they can have without owning a real dog. Making it walk is a no-brainer thing by just press on the button on the leash. But then it start getting a bit boring until I actually read through the instruction manual. The more advanced feature is that you can download apps on your Android device and play in a virtual world. This virtual world allows you to have interaction with the dog toy such as feeding it or washing it or walk around and make other animal friends. One suggestion though, the kids all seem to ask me where is the accessories. They seemingly still prefer to feed it with real pretend food or brush it with real pretend hairbrush, not the virtual one that you see on your Android device. I noticed that all the other animals in the same Real-Fur-Friends series all have some sort of accessories. It would definitely be a big plus if they do the same for this dog toy. Also, the pricing of this one (without any accessories) seems a bit steep. Not a cuddly toy though. It works easily with a simple on/off switch that my toddler can operate no problem. The dog is super cute when you make it sit and the walking on a leash makes my toddler real like a grown up. Using the downloaded app to take care of the FurReal dog is a bonus and a big hit with us! Because you can't obviously wash the real dog, the app gives you the opportunity to do that a much more plus some games. The only cons are that there really isn't a sleep mode, so you need to make sure you are turning off the pet all the time. The instructions are unorganized and all over the place as well. Luckily, there isn't a lot of instruction needed for this pup.
