Pre-Disaster
Brand New Japanese Baby Milk Powder
Morinaga Hagukumi
The best nutrition for babies is breast milk. "Hagukumi" and "E-AKACHAN" are formulas that can be used safely for newborns and on, when breast milk is insufficient.
Hagukumi has become even more similar to breast milk
Breast milk contains nutrients that are important for infants' growth, as well as an abundance of ingredients necessary for their brain development and protection against illness (lactoferrin, etc.). For example, DHA has become widely known as an ingredient that is contained in breast milk and is important for infants' brain development. Also, arachidonic acid (ARA) has recently been attracting attention - it is contained in breast milk, and its intake combined with DHA is also said to be important for brain development. DHA and arachidonic acid are blended in "Hagukumi" and "E-AKACHAN" according to their ratio in breast milk, thus making them even more similar to breast milk, which I think is significant.
Characteristics of Hagukumi:
The quantity and balance of its nutrients are made similar to breast milk.
DHA + arachidonic acid (ARA)
DHA, which is contained in breast milk and is important for babies' growth, is blended together with arachidonic acid, which needs to be taken with DHA.
Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin, which is abundant in breast milk (especially colostrum), is blended.
Peptides, which are easily digested and absorbed
Part of the proteins are predigested to be made into peptides to achieve easier digestion and absorption. The ratio of whey protein and casein is adjusted to the same as with breast milk.
Two types of oligosaccharides (lactulose, raffinose)
Oligosaccharides (lactulose, raffinose), which increase bifidobacteria, are blended.
