Why is water so important?

Taking the MAXTRA filter cartridge, the MAXTRA cartridge contains a mix of activated carbon and ion exchange resins. The ion exchange resin reduces the carbonate hardness (limescale) and permanently absorbs metals, such as lead and copper from your water, which can occur as a result of plumbing. The activated carbon reduces substances that may impair taste, such as chlorine and chlorine compounds (where present).
