Question: Will this help people with asthma?
Ans: Yes. The air purifier in subject comes with a free MERV 16 filter. We sell replacement MERV 18 filters at very affordable rates as well.

Question: Can i use this with the windows open?
Ans: No. This BTO air purifier is meant for use in enclosed places where airflow is limited. For best effect, please use the BTO unit in an enclosed room or hall.

Question: Can this be used to remove renovation smell and dust from my new house?
Ans: Yes. The activated carbon unit together with the MERV 16 filter is more then sufficient for removing paint smells and renovation dust.

Question: How long must the Air purifier run before it cleans the air in the room?
Ans: Depending on room size, for the average apartment room, 10mins. For the larger landed rooms, 15mins.

Question: How long can i use it contineously before the HEPA filter needs to be changed?
Ans: 2000 - 8000 hours. 2000 if MERV 1 is never cleaned. 8000 if MERV 1 is cleaned every 2 weeks.

Question: How long can i use it before i need to change the Activated carbon filter.
Ans: This can depend largely on enviromental usage. Our virgin Activated carbon in theory can last indefinetly but efficiency as a adorant absorber will drop over time. Assuming the activated carbon is used daily by a renovation company to remove reno smells, its lifespan would last about 6 months. If its used in a house with smokers, average effective lifespan is 1-2 years.
