I have wavy/curly hair ...

I have wavy/curly hair that is prone to breakage and frizz. I bought this after reading that long-term use of conventional shampoos can actually dry your hair more, creating more frizz. I figured I'd try something more natural that doesn't necessarily strip the hair as much as say Pantene or the like. After a week of using both this shampoo and its matching conditioner, I have noticed that my hair is softer, shinier and NOT FRIZZY. It's amazing! I will not buy everyday shampoos any longer. The smell of this is great and it doesn't create a huge amount of lather. It does what it should without bells and whistles. I look forward to buying more of this line's shampoos and conditioners

What to avoid in a shampoo

You need a shampoo that cleanses your scalp well, otherwise pores may become blocked, leading to hair loss.

You should AVOID CHEMICAL SHAMPOOS with harsh chemicals like "Sodium Lauryl Sulfate", this is like a bleach, which after everyday use may cause hair follicle miniaturization and may also be toxic if abosrbed through your skin.

Pleade read the label, some organics shampoo do contain Sulfates, "Sodium Lauryl Sulfate", "Sodium Coco Sulfate", or "Sodium Laureth Sulfate".

NATURE'S GATE SHAMPOOS do not contain any SULFATES, be it "Sodium Lauryl Sulfate", "Sodium Laureth Sulfate", or "Sodium Coco Sulfate".

SLS or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a foaming agent that works by corrosion.

SLS used in chemical shampoos can be effective in removing dirt and oil from your hair, forming that formy lather you get from chemical shampoos.

However, the benefits may be short lived if you experience health complications as a result of using a chemical shampoo with SLS.

Regular use of chemical shampoos containing SLS can result in scalp and hair problems as it can have an impact on the protective layers of the skin and hair, causing your scalp to become very dry.

Daily use of chemical shampoos containing SLS may also promote the development of dandruff, hair loss and an itchy scalp. Your hair follicles may also suffer damage as a result.

If you experience scalp problems then we recommend that you buy an SLS free shampoo in order to prevent hair and scalp damage over time.
