What is rooibos?
Though oxidized, or fermented, like other tea types, which come from the Camellia sinensis leaf, rooibos is different. It’s the oxidation that helps create the distinct color and flavor in Vitacost® Caribbean Breeze Organic Rooibos Tea. Another reason rooibos stands apart is because it actually isn’t a tea. The word means red bush because that’s where rooibos comes from the needle-like leaves of a red bush botanically known as Aspalathus linearis.
