A non-phosphate based buffer formulated to lower pH and buffer your aquarium water when used with MICROBE-LIFT/Liquid Alkaline Buffer. These two buffers are dedicated for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae problem.

MICROBE-LIFT/Liquid Acid Buffer, when combined with MICROBE-LIFT/Liquid Alkaline Buffer, will buffer between 8.7 and 6.0. It is very gentle, safe and revitalizes the freshwater environment. As MICROBE-LIFT/Liquid Acid Buffer lowers the pH it also converts carbonate alkalinity into CO2. This product is compatible with all other MICROBE-LIFT buffers.

• Adjusts pH Lower to Any Range Between 8.7 – 6.0*
• Converts Carbonate Hardness (KH) to CO2

*When used in conjunction with Aqua Alkaline Buffer

Note: When used by itself this product will lower the pH as low as 5.0 (slow drop).
