Silk’n Glide: small and light weight
The breakthrough HPL™ (Home Pulsed Light) technology for permanent hair removal. Now so small and light weight, that you can take it with you anywhere. Up to 150.000 pulses!
HPL™ technology
HPL™ technology in Silk’n Glide – Superior safety with lower energy level. HPL™ technology is able to achieve long-term hair removal results at a fraction of the energy level used in other light-based hair removal equipment. The low energy used in Glide reduces its potential to cause harm or complications, and contributes to your overall safety
Recommended by Doctors
-Silk’n Glide is a light-based device for hair reduction designed for home-use. Silk’n Glide may be used to remove unwanted body hair. Ideal body areas for Silk’n Glide use include the underarms, bikini line, arms, legs, face, back shoulders and chest. Glide offers 5 levels of energy from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the highest). Silk’n Glide is FDA cleared in the USA and was tested by top dermatologists and plastic surgeons who concluded that Glide can be used safely, easily and effectively in a typical home environment.
Clinically Proven
-The Home Pulsed Light technology (HPL™) has been designed to capture all the clinical benefits of pulsed light for hair removal at home. In clinical trials lasting over one year, top dermatologists and plastic surgeons found Silk’n Glide able to achieve excellent hair removal results.
Treatment surface
-Furthermore, the 3cm² treatment surface through which pulses of light are delivered is recessed inside the device. This enables Glide to protect your skin by avoiding direct contact between the treatment surface and the skin.
Safety with Silk’n Glide
-With Silk’n Glide safety comes first. Do not use Silk’n Glide on the naturally darkest skin complexion. Silk’n Glide comes with a built-in skin color sensor that is designed to measure the complexion of the applied surface and enable application only on suitable skin complexions. This unique safety feature will not let you treat where your skin is too dark or too tanned.
Suitable for darker skin types
Hair removal with light is not suitable on naturally dark skin or tanned skin. Nevertheless, Silk’n Glide operates within much lower energy levels than other devices making it suitable for treating a wider spectrum of skin tones including darker ones. Today, only the darkest skin tone cannot be treated with Silk’n Glide.
Silk’n Glide has a built-in safety feature for eye protection. It has been designed so that a light pulse can not be emitted when the treatment surface is facing open air. The safety feature enables treatment only when the treatment surface is in contact with the tissue.
Pulsing and Gliding
PULSING is the best technique for working with higher energy levels as it enables better control of skin coverage. When pulsing, Silk’n Glide pulses should be administered in rows, starting at one end of each row and progressing sequentially towards the other end helps you avoid treating the same area more than once or overlapping skin areas.
GLIDING is the best way to work within the low energy levels and achieve a fast and more efficient session. When Gliding, hold the pulse trigger down continuously, and using a slow sliding motion while keeping contact with the skin, smoothly move the device along the treated area. In the lower energy levels the device takes only 1-1.5 seconds to recharge between pulses and provides a nonstop sequence of flashes.
Sun Exposure
Silk’n Glide’s lowest energy level (1) is designed especially for safe use even after sun exposure. After sun exposure you may continue using Silk’n Glide, but only at the lowest energy level.
Sun exposure includes unprotected exposure to direct sunlight of over 15 minutes constantly, or unprotected exposure to diffused sunlight of over 1 hour constantly. To protect recently treated skin when exposed to sunlight, be sure to thoroughly apply sunscreen SPF 30 or higher, for 2 weeks after each hair removal session.
Energy level
Energy level determines the intensity of the Silk’n Glide light pulse delivered to your skin. Glide offers 5 levels of energy from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the highest), represented by 5 energy level indicator lights. The Energy level set for the treatments determines the number of pulses the device can produce. Full permanency for a single user with up to 150.000 pulses.
