First off its not fast but it is FUN. The thing can take what is thrown at it. Earlier models had a fragile steering servo spline. Mine is a later issue one. The spline where the steering horn mounts is metal. 21C does listen to customer feedback. I have had this hummer for almost a year. The only weekends its not running is when theres deep snow or sub freezing temps out. Other than that its running. I have 3 batteries for it. It lasts quite a while with those. Say an hour constant running per battery. Thats alot of run time if your out messing around with your buddies.
For thse who snub their nose when something isnt "hobby grade" well THIS IS A HOBBY! Part of that is getting something, taking it apart and putting it back together again. I have had this model disassembled just for regular maintenance. Thats part of the hobby. Excellent metal gearboxes with metal diffs inside have yet to let me down. They have a light coat of vaseline from the factory, this got cleaned out and repacked with a lithium grease, Steering servo has been repacked as well since the metal gears in there didnt have any grease on them. Another improvement is to take off the wheels, disassemble the rim halves and remove the hard honeycomb plastic inserts inside. This allows the wheels to compress better giving a smoother ride and better traction. It also handles off road use better with the inserts removed. It wont sink into softer sand and grass as easily.

This vehicle isnt made for the 55MPH jump small houses, nitro crowd or the clay track tabletop ramp crowd. Its made more for the scale enthusiast or someone who just wants to have something fun to drive around. This it does well. Aside from the above mentioned modifications and maintenance, all i have really done is repaint the vehicle and mounted one of the spare tires i have for it on the rear deck. With that it really starts to look the part. Im a scale person myself. As said above i am more into the tanks. This vehicle goes very well with my 1/6 Leopard 2 A6.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, Videos and the vehicle. I do own some "hobby grade" stuff and honestly this is more fun and robust sometimes than something that can go 250 scale MPH. Its not always about the speed but the fun you get from being out and driving them
