This rectangular sand sculpture generates incredible patterns in black and white, taking on the appearance of oceans, dunes, valleys, and mountains, often in combination, and sometimes all at once! The piece is composed entirely of sand and water, albeit with an air barrier between them - the sand will flow along the path of least resistance, pouring itself out over and around the barrier. If the sand flows quickly, it's more likely to produce patterns that looks like dunes, and mountains/valleys manifest from a slow flow of sand.
