Increases Muscle Pumps - Each scoop of Lifting Elixir contains 1500 mg of L-Citrulline (2600 mg L-Citrulline Malate) and 2000mg of L-Arginine, both of these ingredients are converted by an enzyme called nitric oxide synthase into nitric oxide (N.O.), this increases cGMP which causes vasodilatation (opening of the blood vessels) which increases blood flow into the muscles. Lifting Elixir also has 150 mg of Panax Ginseng that contains the Ginsenoside Rg1, which also increases N.O. production.
Increase Muscle Strength - ATP is the energy currency of the muscle cell. ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is one Adenosine molecule with three phosphate groups attached. When it is used to provide energy to the working muscle it loses a phosphate and becomes ADP (Adenosine Diphosphate). Creatine is able to donate a phosphate group to ADP making ATP, allowing it to be used again to provide energy to the muscle. Lifting Elixir contains 2000mg of Creatine Monohydrate per scoop.
Increase Muscular & Cardiovascular Endurance - As the muscle becomes fatigued it accumulates lactic acid, which limits endurance and performance. Lifting Elixir contains 1500 mg of Beta-Alanine, which increases muscle Carnosine. Carnosine acts a buffer, which reduces the acidity and allows the muscle to keep performing properly. Lifting Elixir also contains 750mg of Taurine, which along with Carnosine increases muscle calcium sensitivity (calcium initiates muscle contractions).
Increase Focus - During intense exercise, important neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine are depleted, leading to loss of focus and motivation. Lifting Elixir contains 500 mg of L-Tyrosine which is the precursor used to make these neurotransmitters. This prevents the depletion of dopamine and norepinephrine leading to greater focus and motivation during workouts.
Increase Energy - In the CNS adenosine binds to adenosine receptors resulting in the feeling of drowsiness or lack of energy. Caffeine binds to these same receptors, preventing adenosine from binding and reducing the feeling of tiredness. Unfortunately, caffeine is also a vasoconstrictor (makes the blood vessels smaller), which can reduce blood flow. This is why Lifting Elixir contains only 100mg of caffeine per scoop, allowing for increased energy and alertness without inhibiting muscle pumps.
