I would never have tried this mascara if my Great Lash had not suddenly disappeared from all store shelves, everywhere, with no explanation. So, desperate for my royal blue, I turned to this Hard Candy Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara, in electric blue, and it has proven to be a surprisingly great substitute! The color is a little more neon blue than the other one, but it goes on sleek, and stays put for up to 48 hours, without smudging or flaking or ending up under your eyes on a scorchingly hot day! I am actually shocked that it rivals the one I have used all these years, and all I can say is if Maybelline does not bring back my royal blue mascara, then I will be almost as happy with this as a replacement. I have never liked how harsh black mascara looked on me, being blonde haired and blue eyed, but brown didn't enhance my eyes enough. The blue is great because it really defines your eyes and makes a statement without looking overdone, or sleazy. Hard Candy is great. There is an issue with the brush because it is not as good as the Maybelline brush so I just dip the Maybelline brush into the Hard Candy container. I like the formula because I can wash it with soap and water without residue. I have blond hair and green eyes.
